So far so good

It is indeed Tuesday! According to Singapore, Malaysia dan kawasan yang sewaktu dengannya, its already Wednesday. I am sure in Europe its still Tuesday kan?

It's the second day of work week, also, my 2nd day of so-called 'detox'ing/dieting campaign. Yesterday was good, no breakfast except coffee, salad for lunch and OK OK, I had some rice for dinner. How to elak? I marinated chicken with ketumbar and jintan the night before. Goreng ayam but no nasi? Like I told nazrah, alah, sikit jer. But you know what? I had tonnes of jalapenos (green pepper) in my salad for lunch and I ended up in the bathroom 4x last night!!! Now that’s what I call detox!!!

This morning, not bad, my tummy looks a teeny bit smaller compared to if I had rice for lunch and dinner! Or maybe I nih perasan tak hahaha. Woke up with a huge headache (maybe the monthly 'friend' is coming!), and bad allergies. Try combining them together, not a good feeling nor a good sight! So if you happen to look at me now, you would see Ely with a frown on her face, cos she's trying to endure the pain! Don’t worry, I already took something for the allergies, just waiting for it to kick in. The headache one can wait, can't take 2 at a time cos I dunno how those 2 will react to fight the pain. I might be sent home for WUI (working under influence!).

So my plan for today, work as usual. Boss is in, let's see what he has in mind to bomb me with stuff to do later. When he's on the roll, he just goes baby, me included!

As for the detox/dieting etc etc, I had 4 small asian bananas, manis pulak tuh, sedap, and a glass full of grape juice to give me the sugar rush before the coffee an hour later. Double espresso with frothy milk and Sweet n Lo sugar. Lunch? Salad, maybe this time cesar salad…I love them! I don’t think I can walk all week this week, 30 minutes lunch to make up the Dr's appointment I went to last week. Dinner? Don’t know yet, maybe chicken, no rice. But tonnes of water and more water. I'll try to walk after dinner, down the hill and back up…kalau lah tak malas :)

I really DO NOT want to weigh myself just yet, not when I am just starting this regiment! Maybe 1 week later sounds OK eh? Look, if I could lose all that 25 lbs, I am sure 7 lbs should be easier (not!).

Enough of 'slummin' at work…I have to start being productive!

u had 4 bananas? so your are not into calorie counting la ni...Good!

Do it the French way, eat in moderation( 3 slow bites) and experience your food. No gym required, just walk everywhere.

my 2nd day of detox is okay.plainly because i cooked heavily and force fed my family. i just watch them eat. lagi lapar lagi la i sumbat diaorang.

tomorrow is my last day of detox. and see what happens when i get to KL-KB-KT-KTN-JB

nazrah, if i say that i am into calorie counting, memang habis lah i kena kutuk! since i dont eat breakfast, bananas are like energy for me lah. fruit calories r still not as bad as donut calorie kan?

first step for me is always to cut down my in between junks. pelan pelan, i tak nak nanti i have cravings, habis crumble!

ah sumbat itu family hahaha.

Good luck with the plan :) I am also trying to lose weight, but that is what I have been saying the last 3 years :P But hoping this time, it'll work - just don't 'tegur' me... everytime someone says I've lost some, I put on back more!! *sniff*

I think it was Oprah's trainer who said not to weigh yourself for 2 months. It seems like a long time! But use your clothes as an indicator - kalau longgar sikit, it means the plan is working ;)

Me reading an ebook on losing weight without having to diet - just have to know what are the good carbs and the evil ones. Seems we have to eat breakfast without fail (no rice krispies!!), to give the body the energy - I'm the kind who skips breakfast; no wonder it wasn't working before! No energy = cannot workout, right. And when that happens, the body will look into its protein reserves, which means, our lean tissues...!! Alamak, panjang lebar pulak I ni *teehee* Just cannot help it lah :D Anyway, if you want the book, let me know, I can email it to u :)

yup thats it hartini, my clothes have been my indicater. so far muat muat habis hahahaha. so i have to make it longgar longgar sikit lah. but u know what? it gets tricky when u use the dryer to dry the clothes. kecut!

wish i could put myself in the dryer and kecut myself! like sauna pulak eh.

to tell u the truth memang i cant resist bananas! i love them to death.

so i guess i have to let go of them :(

thats ok cos i have apples in the office. thats ok lah, to me, not eating junk for 2 days dah bagus gitu, so thats an improvement kan?

I didn't detox. how to detox anyway? BUT anyways, I had 4 prunes and a cup of coffee for breakfast yesterday. A plate of ginger chicken, no rice for lunch. And an egg sandwich for dinner.
Can?

BUT, BUT, BUT this morning..so hungry, had lontong with begedil for breakfast! How lah?? Kena denda ke?

Oh..and can someone tell me what simple carbos are? puhlease??

huh!! You on diet!! I never been on diet though except fasting occasionally on Mondays and Thursday and daily during Ramadhan. I never been on diet before and am blessed with a normal weight I guess. I never check my weight either except when I have to go for medical check-up. The only time that I know that I gain or loose weight is when my pants feel tight or loose. :)

Furthermore, we only eat once a day that is dinner meal the heavy meal. I never eat breakfast except drinking plain water or eat chocolate or fruits for sugar boost if needed. I guess I walked and do a lot of gardening which helps me loose weight.

Well, good luck with your diet and hope you get to the favourable weight that you wanted.

anedra, aiyoh, lontong for breakfast, so sedap. if like that ah, no need to diet lah terlalu sedap! u might want to cut down on carb? like lesser nasi and lontong and roti? it does make a difference...try lah.

pasal detox tuh there r many ways. some would get colon detox pills. some will go natural detoxication. like me, i take natural, minum air banyak2 is one of them ada lagi lah, lagi gue tak ingat. search under yahoo as 'how to detox you body'.

anedra, kalau detox tuh, itu santan mesti kasi keluar hehehe.

try going to yahoo search and find out what simple carb is. i terbaca jugak this morning, lepas tuh dah lupa hahaha.

kak teh, i like ur diet esp the terlentox part hahaha.

Here is something that I would like to share with you on weight loss.
It works for my husband who used to be more than 200 lbs and now he's 40 lbs lighter which is around 160s. Here is what he does every day... he eats 2x a day occassionally.. Lunch: eat salad only.., dinner: eat salad and one scoop of rice or anything like spagetti etc.. but has to be 1 scoop, and drink plenty of plain water besides coffee. oh!! not forgetting exercise everyday for 15 mins so that the fat can be converted to muscles.

Insha Allah (God's willing) you'll lose weight.

Suriyati, that sounds like a plan that will work. But the question is, can we maintain it?? Esp when we go out all the time, dine with family and friends, is very hard to control and tell them we want to eat salad only. Then they'll say we eat like kambing aje... and they don't serve salad... hmmmm... even the malay food that is closest to salad is rojak - dressing is enough to kill... and rojak with no chakwey tak main ah!! :D

hartini, thats why i dont tell myself that u am on a diet but to CUT DOWN. kalau ckp diet mcm failure gitu and when u say cut down mcm u're in control.

and i dont go cold turkey. i eat salads when i can, if u go out lunch with a friend, i am sure ratah2 the auk pun ok kan? but i if u really want to eat the same food as your friends, sure u can eat, but like half or so. they call it in portions?

i am not saying that i am good, i need to lose some myself but i lost 25 lbs in 8 mths, lots of hard work and exercise and i nvr cut cold turkey, i know that i will nvr succeed like that.

anedra, u go gurl. u can still eat chocs but not the whole bar kan? hahaha.

i know that i need to do brisk walking again and i havent been doing it during lunch time.
