5:30am – woke up, dear husband handed me a piece of bread (to supposedly ward of morning sickness)
6am – in the bathroom, face in toilet bowl, felt like I threw up my whole nerve system, including my eyes, mouth ears and all that.
7am- all dressed up, face all green. I knew that I wouldn’t make it to work without being sick.
7:30am- called office to tell them that I will not be in the office. How nice, my co worker, volunteered to feed my fishy (yes, I have a fishy at work) a few times a day. Kesian mamat tuh lapar mummy dia takder kat ofis.
9:30am – I knew that I couldn’t eat ANYTHING without throwing up but had to eat. So I cooked ramen noodles with very little seasoning.
10am – threw up what I ate. Aiyoooooo….so weak. Couldn’t even watch tv as its under the turning ceiling fan…mabuk!
10:30-1pm- slept, nak makan for sure keluar balik.
1pm-4pm- slept again.
4pm- kids came back from school, asking me if I ate, I said no. the daughter urged me to eat. So I had a toast. Rushed to lay in bed, hoping that the toast would stay in my tummy.
6pm- husband cooked dinner. Grilled chicken and some rice pilaf. The smell of the grilled chicken, enough to kill my respiratory system. The sell of the pilaf, eeewww.
7pm- time to eat. I chewed on a broccoli and 2 spoonfuls of pilaf. Husband, had a plate of pilaf and 2 huge chicken breasts. I ran straight to the bathroom, head in the bowl. The broccoli and the pilaf just came back out. Nothing much in there…
7:30pm- went to the pharmacy, got some Vitamin B6 (known to reduce dizziness and nausea).
8pm – had 25mg of the Vitamin B6, felt better in 20 mins. Had some Healthy Mom bar for pregnant ladies bought by dear husband.
In short, I only managed to have 2 bars of Health Mom health bar which have a total of only 52 gm of carbs for the day. I know, its not good at all. But I woke up feeling better today. Its only 6:30am, had another 25mg of Vitamin B6 and a bar of Healthy Mom. If I have to eat Healthy Mom everyday…who cares, as long as the food stays in me.
At least I am not feeling dizzy now, but still not feeling great. Still feeling dehydrated from not eating yesterday. Still not going to work, need another day to hydrate myself.
Tomorrows, going to be a somewhat long day. Early morning visit to the vet for Tuco, who needs a blood curve test or his diabetes, leave him there and to work. Appointment with the gynecologist tomorrow.

Oh gosh...
I had such an easy pregnancy dulu...I only had this throwing-out-everything-that-I-ate phase when I was sick for two weeks. That's it. But boy was I miserable during that time... so I feel you. Do take care... do makan sikit2, kesian kang lembik pulak...
ely, from my past experience of 2 failed pregnancies, severe morning sickness can really make you jatuh terduduk. my gynae suggested that i took 100plus to boost the energy..it helps jugaklah. won't affect the baby as it's not carbonated drink..
hope you get better soon.
nef
maR, my first pregnancy, it was morning sickness for 3 mths. the 2nd pregnancy, no morning sickness, heaven! this one, all day sickness no brake. today, alhamdulillah, i did not throw up anything...yet. and seems like i am not having any food aversions either.
nef, i am sorry about ur bad experiences. but theres no 100plus here but gatorade ada lah. maybe i should try gatorade eh.
never been married and never been pregnant. but with pregnant friends ard, i reckon, i picked up a few things tho...
a fren of mine, was warded for a week for severe dehydration, and after that, followed by a mth long medical leave. and she does look weak and frail.
from your entries, i reckon yours is kinda more like how my bestfriend went thru during her first trimester. i read up some stuffs abt pregnancy along the way and there was this article that said it is normal to go thru this process - throwing up every single thing that u eat - and still wont do any harm to the baby. but u still have to keep on taking your liquids. and like nef had mention, 100plus or any non-carbonated isotonic drinks are good to keep the glucose level from going low.
well then again, what do i know. this is all theory, and bila part practical, dunno if it works ker tak. hehehe..
u take care, and be strong, aite. *hugs*
my first pregnancy took me 8 months of takde selera at all - no smell of food at all or I will go crazy! I only lived on milk. if nak makan pun i have to be away form all the cooking - siap je lauk terus makan where i dont smell the food too much. But real cold coke helped me with the nausea ...tapi sip sikit sikit la but has to be real cold!
tapi kan Ely, kalau takde all these events, nanti takde cerita to tell the baby later :)
Oh Ely. I feel for you. For both my pregnancies I felt like that day in day out, night in night out for 4 months. I really felt like I had a bionic nose and going to the mall was a torture as the smells hit me left, right and center. I hope you feel better soon dear.
alahai kak ely, salah satu sebab nurin tak ber'adik'lagi sebab ni la jugak, tak larat asik nak muntak je sampai bulan kelima. serik rasanya pregnant, bersalin ok lagi..
yg bole telan, buah2an especially nenas, tapi i makan nenas masak ranum la, bila dah ok, takleh nak makan byk pulak sebab perut dah sempit!
try makan sikit2 ek, jgn tak makan langsung, hope u'll feel better soon
baby naz, thanks for ur kind advise. i have made a research on the internet to start taking vitamin b6 and it worked wonders. it took the nausea away. alhamdulillah, i was able to keep all of my food down yesterday. thank you dahling. no worries, i will survive!
mamarock, but i like icey cold water. more ice the better. tgk family makan daging kena tutup mata, rasa mcm ada org jolok jer kat tekak.
MG, even when i drive and its raining, the wipers makes me sick! go to the mall, tengok the orang, pun boleh sick kan? aiyoooo...
nohachomel, alah u ckp jer sebab u tak nak beranak lagi, nanti besok lusa nak pulak hehehe. 1st trimester of pregnancy memang lah sungguh memalaskan. sigh..sebab tuh lah pahala jadi ibu nih sgt besar kan?
My experience after 1 trimester baru ok. I don't remember hw do I manage it..same I guess...lots of sleep even in the office terbongkang kat sofa.
Take care laling..Love AM
TERBONGKANG? i miss that word! that word was used on hot afternoons, bawah kipas on the sofa!
dear dear ely, theres only one word for this 1st trimester... buka mata je pepagi tu, just try to EXIST!!! jgn set any high targets or expectations.. congratulate urself just by getting thru the day :) tapi kalau tak lalu pun all the necessary vits & minerals mesti makan jgn ngelat otherwise kecian baby!!!
hang in there girl and bawak mengaji bebanyak skit k *hugz*
Alamak, kesiannya you Ely!!! I never had any kind of morning/any time sickness and I pretty much ate whatever I wanted during pregnancy. I know that GINGER works wonders for nausea ... so trylah. Ginger tea, ginger drink, crystalized ginger, ginger sweets, steamed chicken cooked in ginger, ginger soup ...... it may help you keep the food down.
