Hah...so now that I have my own digital camera, I don't know what to do with it! This is our 3rd digital camera in the house. Before I had my own, I used to beg the husband if he could let me borrow his camera for the Asian Pacific Islander Club General Meeting or any Asian events. Sometimes I had to promise him that I would not leave his camera unattended and making sure that the camera's in its case when not in use.I've had it for only 2 days and have been playing with it. The cats are my victims! I had to learn how to ensure that the flash does not give too much light especially towards my white cat...or it would be like a UFO which landed on my bed...all white! All I can say is that, it is not like the old traditional camera!
Tomorrow, so I am going to take the camera to work and go to SF City Hall and take pictures of the city. Maybe take pictures of the homeless people hehehe.
In the meantime, let me continue reading the camera manual...

hehehe, that me in my natural habitat...on the bed! and u know what? there was my kitten on the other side of me! i'll take a pic of me surrounded by cats one day and u'll be amazed!

Some cameras have a built-in flash brightness adjuster. If you don't have one, you can put scotch tape over the flash, tissue paper or white paper, to bring down the brightness. It's actually quite fun if u play with the colored stuff too. I also found out that with the tissue paper [I use the old white Fuji film canister, cut out, for my pop-up flash], you'll get better results with the cats eyes - they won't turn all green or something.

hartini, hmm, i might try what u had suggested me. not a bad idea. this camera does have a built in flash output adjustments, its already at the lowest output and still to bright...so the tape thingy should be good.

ely, that's a nice shot of you and bella. Took it yourself? I can never take picture of myself - selalu senget!
Ely, fiddle around some more with the camera. With some settings, you don't even need to use flash. I find that the pictures look better without the flash (selalunya, muka jadi putih semacam aje).
